Important! What should I do if there is a collision or an accident without a third party involved?
In the event of a collision or an accident with no third party, the customer must notify our company immediately at the time of the incident. If the customer is at fault or if there is no third party involved, the customer will be responsible for various charges including the NOC (Non-Operation Charge) and the Excess (deductible cost). These charges will be assessed by our on-site staff and will range from ¥20,000 to ¥150,000, depending on the level of damage.
◉ In the event of an accident during the rental period where the vehicle becomes unusable: The renter is responsible for any damage according to the company’s terms and conditions.
1. If the renter is not at fault - No excess (deductible) will be charged - The rental contract will be immediately terminated - Refund for the remaining rental days will be at the discretion of the on-site staff
2. If the renter is at fault and/or there is no third party involved - Penalty charges will apply as listed - The rental contract will be immediately terminated - No refund will be given for any remaining rental days.
◉ In the event of mechanical failure during the rental period (not caused by an accident) where the vehicle becomes unusable: The renter is responsible for any damage according to the company’s terms and conditions.
1. If the failure is not caused by the renter - Examples include engine failure, dead battery, or electrical malfunction - The company will provide a replacement vehicle of the same or similar model
2. If the failure is caused by the renter’s actions - Penalty charges will apply as listed - The rental contract will be immediately terminated
🔧 Additional Note: In the case of flat tires or tire blowouts, regardless of the cause, the renter is fully responsible for all related expenses.
